§ 2994. Rights to be publicized. The commissioner of health shall prepare a statement summarizing the rights, duties and requirements of this article and shall require that a copy of such statement:
Terms Used In N.Y. Public Health Law 2994
- Hospital: means a general hospital as defined in subdivision ten of section two thousand eight hundred one of this chapter and a residential health care facility as defined in subdivision three of section two thousand eight hundred one of this chapter, and a mental hygiene facility as defined in subdivision ten of this section and a hospice as defined in subdivision one of section four thousand two of this chapter. 1. Be furnished to patients or their families at or prior to the time of admission to a hospital, and to each member of the hospital's staff; and
2. Be posted in a public place in each hospital.
The statement of rights required by this section may be included in any other statement of patients' rights required by other provisions of this chapter.
