- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (a) The postpartum coverage component is twelve million five hundred thousand dollars ($12,500,000) for each quarter of the 2021-2022 State fiscal year.
(b) For each quarter of the 2022-2023 State fiscal year prior to the State fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, the postpartum coverage component is eleven million four thousand four hundred twenty-four dollars ($11,004,424). For any quarter of the 2022-2023 State fiscal year in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes or is effective, the postpartum coverage component is four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000).
(c) For each quarter of the 2023-2024 State fiscal year prior to the State fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, the postpartum coverage component is eleven million four thousand four hundred twenty-four dollars ($11,004,424) increased by the Medicare Economic Index. For any quarter of the 2023-2024 State fiscal year in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes or is effective, the postpartum coverage component is four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000).
(d) For each quarter of the 2024-2025 State fiscal year, the postpartum coverage component is four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000) increased by the Medicare Economic Index.
