Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 108A-147.8

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

(a) For every State fiscal quarter prior to the fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, the State retention component is zero.

(b) For the State fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, and each State fiscal quarter thereafter, the State retention component is ten million seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($10,750,000) for each assessment quarter. (2023-7, s. 1.6(b).)
