Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 108A-6

  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

Appointments to fill vacancies shall be made in the manner set out in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-3 All such appointments shall be for the remainder of the former member’s term of office and shall not constitute a term for the purposes of N.C. Gen.
