Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 108D-23

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.

Each entity operating a BH IDD tailored plan shall develop and maintain a closed network of providers only for the provision of behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability, and traumatic brain injury services. A closed network is the network of providers that have contracted with the entity operating a BH IDD tailored plan to furnish these services to enrollees. A closed network must include all essential providers, as designated in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108D-22(b), that (i) are located within the region for which the entity holds a BH IDD tailored plan contract and (ii) provide any covered behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability, or traumatic brain injury service in that region.
