- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (a) An electronic notary may perform a remote electronic notarial act authorized under this Part only while the electronic notary is physically located in this State.
(b) A remote electronic notarization performed by an electronic notary of this State under this Part is governed by the laws of this State. (2022-54, s. 1; 2023-57, ss. 2, 9(d).)
