Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 115C-154.2
- Local school administrative unit: means a subdivision of the public school system which is governed by a local board of education. See North Carolina General Statutes 115C-5
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
The State Board of Education shall develop equipment standards for each career and technical education program level and shall assist local school administrative units in determining the adequacy of equipment for each career and technical education program available in each local school administrative unit.
The State Board shall also develop a plan to assure that minimum equipment standards for each program are met to the extent that State, local, and federal funds are available for that purpose. The State Board shall consider all reasonable and prudent means to meet these minimum equipment standards and to ensure a balanced career and technical education program for students in the public schools.
