Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 120C-210
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (a) A registration of a lobbyist under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 120C-200 and the written authorization of that lobbyist principal under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 120C-206 are terminated upon the filing of either a lobbyist resignation or a principal termination with the Secretary of State, whichever occurs first.
(b) Lobbyist resignations and lobbyist principal terminations are effective upon filing. (2009-549, s. 5; 2017-6, s. 3; 2018-146, s. 3.1(a), (b).)
