No individual shall be eligible to serve as a member of any contractor’s licensing board who has been convicted of criminal charges involving either:
(1) A conspiracy in restraint of trade in the courts of this State in violation of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 75-1, 75-2, or 133-24, or similar charges in any federal court or in any other state court; or

- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (2) Bribery or commercial bribery in violation of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-218 or 14-353 in the courts of this State, or of similar charges in any federal court or the court of any other state. (1981, c. 764, s. 1.)
