Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 136-18.5B
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The Board of Transportation shall designate State Highway 136 in Iredell and Cabarrus counties as State Highway 3, which shall be known as the “Dale Earnhardt Highway”. (2002-170, s. 4.)
