- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The same rights and remedies set forth in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 97-10.2 shall apply in all third party liability cases occurring under this Article, including cases involving the right of the affected State agency to recover the salary paid to an injured officer during the officer’s period of disability.
