- Ex officio: Literally, by virtue of one's office.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The Department of Administration shall provide office space to the Committee. The members of the Committee, including ex officio members, shall be paid such per diem, subsistence and travel allowances as are prescribed by law for State boards and commissions generally. All payments for purposes authorized by this Article shall be paid by the State Treasurer upon written authorization of the chairman of the Committee, from funds appropriated to the Contingency and Emergency Budget.
