Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 143-723

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

The Open Meetings Law (Article 33C of Chapter 143 of the N.C. Gen. Stat.) and the Public Records Act (Chapter 132 of the N.C. Gen. Stat.) apply to the Fund and the Commission, and the Fund and the Commission are subject to audit by the State Auditor as provided by law. The Commission shall reimburse the State Auditor for the actual cost of the audit. (2000-147, s. 3; 2018-142, s. 20.)
