Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 143A-240
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The State Civil Preparedness Agency as provided for in Chapter 166 is hereby transferred by a Type I transfer, as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143A-6, to the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. (1977, c. 70, s. 1; 2011-145, s. 19.1(g); 2012-194, s. 39.)
