Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 143B-1256
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- in writing: may be construed to include printing, engraving, lithographing, and any other mode of representing words and letters: Provided, that in all cases where a written signature is required by law, the same shall be in a proper handwriting, or in a proper mark. - property: shall include all property, both real and personal. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
No commissioner or employee of any authority shall acquire any interest, direct or indirect, in any veterans’ recreation project or in any property included or planned to be included in any project, nor shall he have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or proposed contract for materials or services to be furnished or used in connection with any such project. If any commissioner or employee of an authority owns or controls an interest, direct or indirect, in any property included or planned to be included in any veterans’ recreation project, he shall immediately disclose the same in writing to the authority and such disclosure shall be entered upon the minutes of the authority.
