Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 143C-6-10

  • Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Director may establish a program of dependent care assistance and a flexible compensation plan for eligible officers and employees of State agencies as provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 126-95 With the approval of the Director, savings in the employer’s share of contributions under the Federal Insurance Contributions Act on account of the reduction in salary may also be used as provided by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 126-95 (2007-117, s. 3(c).)
