- Extradition: The formal process of delivering an accused or convicted person from authorities in one state to authorities in another state.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. Any officer who shall deliver to the agent for extradition of the demanding state a person in his custody under the Governor’s warrant, in willful disobedience to N.C. Gen.
