The Attorney General shall represent the interest of the State when:

(1) A decision of the Commission is appealed to the courts; and

Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 15B-5

  • Lawsuit: A legal action started by a plaintiff against a defendant based on a complaint that the defendant failed to perform a legal duty, resulting in harm to the plaintiff.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies.
