Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 19-1.5

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Person: means any individual, partnership, firm, association, corporation, or other legal entity. See North Carolina General Statutes 19-1.1
