Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 23-33
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
Every creditor upon whom the notice directed in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 23-32 is served may suggest fraud upon the hearing of the petition, and the issues made up respecting the fraud shall stand for trial as in other cases.
