Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 28A-12-2

  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • oath: shall be construed to include "affirmation" in all cases where by law an affirmation may be substituted for an oath, and in like cases the word "sworn" shall be construed to include the word "affirmed. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

The public administrator shall take and subscribe an oath or affirmation in the form provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 11-11 for administrators and in the manner provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 28A-7-1; and the oath or affirmation so taken and subscribed shall be filed in the office of the clerk of superior court.
