Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 28A-14-1.1
- Litigation: A case, controversy, or lawsuit. Participants (plaintiffs and defendants) in lawsuits are called litigants.
(a) Any notice to creditors published or posted under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 28A-14-1 which did not, in the advertisement, name the day after which claims could not be presented is validated.
(b) This section applies to all notices published and posted between October 1, 1975, and January 1, 1991, except that it does not affect any pending litigation or any litigation instituted within 90 days of January 1, 1991.
