Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 36C-9-906

  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

Nothing in this Article shall prevent the application of Article 4B of this Chapter to a “charitable remainder trust” as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 36C-4B-3(1). (1999-215, s. 1; 2005-192, s. 2.)
