  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC

Unless otherwise provided for by this Chapter, the provisions of Chapter 42 of the N.C. Gen. Stat. apply to covered lease agreements. (2010-164, s. 3; 2015-178, s. 3.)
