Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 53-339

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

Chapter 55 of the N.C. Gen. Stat. applies to a State trust company to the extent not inconsistent with this Article. Except for the filing of annual reports and statement of change of registered agent or registered office, unless expressly authorized by this Article or a rule adopted by the Commission, a State trust company shall not take an action authorized by Chapter 55 of the N.C. Gen. Stat. that requires a filing with the Secretary of State without first obtaining the approval of the Commissioner. (2001-263, s. 1.)
