Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 53C-10-101
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. Every holding company, as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 53C-1-4(39), that directly or indirectly controls a depository institution or nonbank subsidiary that has an office located in this State shall register with the Commissioner and maintain that registration on an annual basis in the form prescribed by the Commissioner.
