Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 54B-48.9
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Banks authorized pursuant to Article 2 of Chapter 53C of the N. See North Carolina General Statutes 54B-4
- State: means any state of the United States and the District of Columbia. See North Carolina General Statutes 54B-48.2
- United States: shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
The Commissioner of Banks shall have the power to enforce the provisions of this Article, including the divestiture requirement of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 54B-48.5(b), through an action in any court of this State or any other state or in any court of the United States for the purpose of obtaining an appropriate remedy for violation of any provision of this Article, including such criminal penalties as are contemplated by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 54B-66 (1983 (Reg. Sess., 1984), c. 1087, s. 1; 2001-193, s. 16.)
