Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 55A-14-24

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The Administrative Procedure Act shall not apply to any proceeding or appeal provided for in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 55A-14-20 through N.C. Gen. Stat. § 55A-14-23. (1993, c. 398, s. 1.)
