Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 57D-8-06
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
In any derivative proceeding in the right of a foreign LLC, the matters covered by this Article will be governed by the law of the jurisdiction of the foreign LLC’s organization except for the matters governed by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 57D-8-02, 57D-8-04, and 57D-8-05. (2013-157, s. 2.)
