Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 58-67-60
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. With the exception of investments made in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-67-35(a)(1) and (2) and N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-67-35(b), the funds of a health maintenance organization shall be invested or maintained only in securities, other investments, or other assets permitted by the laws of this State for the investment of assets constituting the legal reserves of life insurance companies or such other securities or investments as the Commissioner may permit.
