- Restitution: The court-ordered payment of money by the defendant to the victim for damages caused by the criminal action.
(a) On a finding that a ground for disciplinary action exists under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-89A-155, the Commissioner may suspend or terminate a license, impose a civil penalty, and seek an order of restitution under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-2-70.
(b) On termination of a license, the licensee shall immediately return the terminated license to the Commissioner.
(c) Any disciplinary action taken, any temporary or permanent termination of a license, or any determination that an officer or controlling person is unqualified shall be made by the Commissioner subject to Article 3A of Chapter 150B of the N.C. Gen. Stat.. (2004-162, s. 1.)
