Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 66-37

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

Whenever such warehouseman fails to perform any duty or violates any of the provisions of this Article, any person injured by  such failure or violation may bring an action in his name and to his own use in any court of competent jurisdiction on the bond of said warehouseman.
