Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 66-71.12

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

(a) An assumed business name certificate filed under this Article is effective upon filing and remains in effect until withdrawn under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 66-71.8

(b) Compliance with this Article does not confer any exclusive rights to the use of an assumed business name in this State. (2016-100, s. 2; 2017-23, s. 1.)
