- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (a) The Board may grant, upon application and payment of proper fees, a license to a person who resides in this State and has at least three years’ experience as a licensed locksmith in another state whose standards of competency are substantially equivalent to those provided in this Chapter.
(b) The Board may grant, upon application and payment of proper fees, a license to a nonresident if the person meets the requirements of this Chapter or the person resides in a state that recognizes licenses issued by the Board. (2001-369, s. 1.)
