Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 7B-1300
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. It is the expressed intent of this Article to make the prevention of abuse and neglect, as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 7B-101, a priority of this State and to establish the Children’s Trust Fund as a means to that end. (1983, c. 894, s. 1; 1998-202, s. 6.)
