Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 7B-1300

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

It is the expressed intent of this Article to make the prevention of abuse and neglect, as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 7B-101, a priority of this State and to establish the Children’s Trust Fund as a means to that end. (1983, c. 894, s. 1; 1998-202, s. 6.)
