Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 90-288.16

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. The Department may grant, upon application, a certificate to a person who holds a valid certificate as an assisted living community administrator issued by another state if, in the Department’s determination, the standards of competency for the certificate are substantially equivalent to those in this State.
