Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes > Chapter 166A > Article 3 - Disaster Service Volunteer Leave Act
- Disaster: means a disaster designated at Level III or higher in the American National Red Cross Regulations and Procedures. See North Carolina General Statutes 166A-31
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
- State agency: means and includes all departments, institutions, commissions, committees, boards, divisions, bureaus, officers, and officials of the State, including those within the legislative and judicial branches of State government. See North Carolina General Statutes 166A-31
- United States: shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
