Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes > Chapter 58 > Article 54 - Medicare Supplement Insurance Minimum Standards
- Applicant: means (i) in the case of an individual Medicare supplement policy or subscriber contract, the person who seeks to contract for insurance benefits; and (ii) in the case of a group Medicare supplement policy or subscriber contract, the proposed certificate holder. - Certificate: means any certificate issued under a group Medicare supplement policy, which certificate has been delivered or issued for delivery in this State. See North Carolina General Statutes 58-54-1
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
