Terms Used In North Dakota Code 10-33-129

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See North Dakota Code 1-01-49

1.    Endorse on the application the word “filed” and the date of the filing; 2.    File the application and the certificate of good standing or certificate of existence; and

3.    Issue to the corporation or its representative a certificate of authority to conduct activities in this state.
