- Adjutant general coin: means a coin or medallion bearing the state's adjutant general's organization insignia or emblem. See North Dakota Code 37-01-01

- Organization: includes a foreign or domestic association, business trust, corporation, enterprise, estate, joint venture, limited liability company, limited liability partnership, limited partnership, partnership, trust, or any legal or commercial entity. See North Dakota Code 1-01-49
- Property: includes property, real and personal. See North Dakota Code 1-01-49
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
- Reserve militia: consists of all those individuals who are subject to service in the active militia and who are not serving in the national guard of this state. See North Dakota Code 37-01-01
- seal: includes an impression of such seal upon the paper alone as well as upon wax or a wafer affixed thereto. See North Dakota Code 1-01-38
