By July 1, 2008, the department of rehabilitation and correction and the department of youth services shall adopt rules pertaining to the certification of sex offender and child-victim offender treatment programs. The rules shall include a requirement that the departments periodically inspect and certify sex offender and child-victim offender treatment programs. The rules shall also include a requirement that the departments maintain a list of certified sex offender and child-victim offender treatment programs that is open to public inspection.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 2950.16

  • Child-victim offender: means a person who is convicted of, pleads guilty to, has been convicted of, has pleaded guilty to, is adjudicated a delinquent child for committing, or has been adjudicated a delinquent child for committing any child-victim oriented offense. See Ohio Code 2950.01
  • Sex offender: means , subject to division (B)(2) of this section, a person who is convicted of, pleads guilty to, has been convicted of, has pleaded guilty to, is adjudicated a delinquent child for committing, or has been adjudicated a delinquent child for committing any sexually oriented offense.
