No consumer shall refuse to pay the full and exact tax as required by sections 5739.01 to 5739.31, inclusive, of the Revised Code, or refuse to comply with such sections and the rules and regulations of the tax commissioner, or present to the vendor a false certificate indicating that the sale is not subject to the tax.
Terms Used In Ohio Code 5739.26
- Consumer: means the person for whom the service is provided, to whom the transfer effected or license given by a sale is or is to be made or given, to whom the service described in division (B)(3)(f) or (i) of this section is charged, or to whom the admission is granted. See Ohio Code 5739.01
- Vendor: means the person providing the service or by whom the transfer effected or license given by a sale is or is to be made or given and, for sales described in division (B)(3)(i) of this section, the telecommunications service vendor that provides the nine hundred telephone service; if two or more persons are engaged in business at the same place of business under a single trade name in which all collections on account of sales by each are made, such persons shall constitute a single vendor.
