§ 218-b. Prisoner furlough program in county jails and penitentiaries. The county legislative body shall have power to elect to have the provisions of Article 22-A of the correction law concerning prisoner furloughs apply to jails and penitentiaries under its jurisdiction and to appropriate and expend such sums as it may deem proper to provide for a prisoner furlough program in accordance therewith.
