§ 230.33 Compelling prostitution.

Under the New York Laws, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Class B felony | between 1 and 25 years | up to $30,000 |
A person is guilty of compelling prostitution when, being eighteen years old or more, he or she knowingly advances prostitution by compelling a person less than eighteen years old, by force or intimidation, to engage in prostitution.
Compelling prostitution is a class B felony.
