§ 62. Survey of historic and cultural properties under state control. The commissioner of general services with the advice and assistance of the commissioner of parks and recreation shall prepare, maintain and publish a listing of all historic and cultural properties under its jurisdiction or control or otherwise owned or used by any state agency including those listed on the state or national register of historic places or determined by the commissioner of parks and recreation to be eligible for the state register. The commissioner may utilize the statewide inventory of historic property prepared by the commissioner of parks and recreation for purposes of this section.
Terms Used In N.Y. Public Buildings Law 62
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of general services. See N.Y. Public Buildings Law 61
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- National Register: means the national register of historic places authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. See N.Y. Public Buildings Law 61
- State agency: means any state department, officer, board, commission, agency, or a public authority or public benefit corporation at least one of whose members is appointed by the governor. See N.Y. Public Buildings Law 61
- State register: means the state register of historic places established pursuant to section 14. See N.Y. Public Buildings Law 61
