§ 2807-r. Funding for expansion of cancer services. To the extent of funds available therefor pursuant to section twenty-eight hundred seven-l of this article, the commissioner may allocate funds for competitive grants or reimbursement for the expansion of cancer services into medically underserved or high need areas or medically underserved populations, and for training programs for physicians and other practitioners from medically underserved areas to upgrade their training and education in relation to providing cancer education, detection and treatment services in such areas.
