§ 3385-a. Access to criminal history information. Upon such terms and conditions as the commissioner of the division of criminal justice services agrees, authorized employees of the department's bureau of narcotic enforcement, designated by the commissioner pursuant to subdivision two of section three thousand three hundred eighty-five of this title, may access criminal history information in the central data facility established pursuant to subdivision six of § 837 of the executive law upon request to the director of the bureau of narcotic enforcement demonstrating the necessity for such access as part of an identified, ongoing criminal investigation. Any information obtained as a result of such access shall not be disseminated to persons not authorized to access such criminal history information.
