§ 4304. Delivery of document of gift. If the gift is made by the donor to a specified donee, the will, card or other document or a copy of the executed document, may be delivered to him or her to expedite the appropriate procedures immediately after death; however delivery is not necessary to the validity of the gift. On request of an interested party upon or after the donor's death, the person in possession shall produce the document for examination.

- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- gift: means a donation of a whole body or part of a human body, to take effect after the donor's death, for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research or education. See N.Y. Public Health Law 4300
- Person: means an individual, corporation, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See N.Y. Public Health Law 4300
