A person appointed or assigned to serve and serving as judge pro tempore of a court under ORS § 1.600, 1.615 or 1.635 is not eligible to be, or to participate in the selection or removal of, the Chief Justice, Chief Judge or presiding judge of the court to which the person is appointed or assigned. Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 1.675

  • Chief judge: The judge who has primary responsibility for the administration of a court but also decides cases; chief judges are determined by seniority.
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
