An appeal may be taken from a final order in a proceeding under ORS § 109.774 to 109.827 in accordance with ORS Chapter 19. Unless the court enters a temporary emergency order under ORS § 109.751, the enforcing court may not stay an order enforcing a child custody determination pending appeal. [1999 c.649 § 36]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 109.817
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
